Easter 2010

This past Sunday was Easter and what a great Easter it was. We started the weekend with a family dinner on Friday night at Jeremy's aunt's house, had a picnic with my old coworkers on Saturday, had two family dinners on Sunday, and had two great days of listening to General Conference.

While Merrick is too young to yet understand the true meaning of Easter, this was the first holiday that he was old enough to be interested in some of the festivities. Despite the fact that he is recovering from an ear infection, he was a happy baby all weekend and loved spending the time with family and friends. During our Easter egg hunt he enjoyed holding and sucking on an egg and he was excited to explore his Easter basket after the Easter bunny visited our house.



My favorite part of the weekend was watching Merrick sit with his Easter basket and take out each item one at a time. I think that daddy just wished that Merrick would not have pulled out every other item before his new soccer ball...maybe he was saving the best for last.
