Last summer Merrick was supposed to get his braces off. We had the removal date scheduled. Then, the final checkup before the big day, the Ortho decided he just wasn't loving it and asked for three more months. Well, spoiler alert, it was not three more months. One issue turned into another the the braces off date got pushed and pushed.
Finally, this past Monday, the big day arrived. I don't think either Merrick or I were completely confident that the braces were actually coming off until they were off and sitting on the tray next to him. To say that Merrick is thrilled is a gross understatement.
Now we just have to make sure he wears his retainers and we don't have to go for round 3. I already told him, that I have paid for two rounds of braces for him already. Next time it's on him.
