New Life- Week 9 (The Great Outdoors)

I am not going to lie, things are getting a little rough around here.  Nine weeks is a long time to more or less be stuck inside your house.  That's not to say that things are all bad (I promise they are not) but truly it is the times of the day that we get to get outside that get us through.  Over the last couple of weeks we have continued our daily walks, but we also have gotten a little more creative with our time outside.  We have brought stuffed animals out to teach them how to ride bikes, we have played blind catch over the roof of the garage, and (my personal favorite) have had make believe camping trips.  The camping trips have become really elaborate with everyone getting their own tents and camping chairs.  We also usually have a fire that we roast marshmallows over.

Also last weekend we got out to the river beach for the first time this year.  It was so nice to be out there and it felt almost like normal life.  I told Jeremy that this is the first time I feel like summer might not be canceled.  Fingers crossed.

I am so thankful for the chance to get outside.  It feels lifesaving these days.
