Home Bound

This week was fairly low key and as the blog title would imply, we were home bound much of the time.  The week started off normally enough until we were woken up just after midnight of what was then Tuesday morning by Merrick screaming.  We rushed in to his room to find that he had vomited all over himself and his bed.  After a long clean-up that ultimately involved laundry and moping, we decided I would sleep with him to keep an eye on him.  The rest of the night he threw up every hour and often, after cleaning up, we didn't have time to fall back to sleep before the next round would start.

Needless to say we were all exhausted and needing to rest the next day.

By Wednesday we thought we were out of the woods until Carrigan got sick at breakfast.  Thankfully it turned out to be a false alarm and our rest day on Wednesday just ended up being precautionary.

In addition to all the sickies, we had another reason to stay home this week.  The windows in our kitchen (which are brand new) have been leaking.  We have been trying to get them repaired for a few weeks now, but the repairman either does not show up when he says he will or, as was the case this week, they come and spend hours and hours working only to not fix the problem.  Ultimately they have just covered the windows until they can get to the bottom of the problem.

All of this was mostly just to say that I don't really have anything exciting to report on this week.  What I do have, however, is a gem of a picture from a couple weeks ago that never made it onto the blog.  Here is Merrick asleep in bed with several makeshift beds he created for his stuffed animals out of his extra blankets and pillow (and let me tell you, all those extra blankets and pillows also came in really handy this week when he was sick all night and you can only do laundry so fast).
